Mutua Madrid Open 2019
La Caja Mágica is the most modern tennis venue in the world with a fantastically versatile and functional design. Made out of steel, wood and glass, it is arguably one of Madrid’s major architectural reference points!
It was designed by French architect Dominique Perrault.
The name “Caja Mágica” (Magic Box) refers to the dynamic design of the angular, shifting shell that covers the two pavilions. All of the courts at the Caja Mágica have retractable roofs that lift away like giant lids. Meaning that this “box” can be opened and closed at will!
The centre court or Manolo Santana Stadium can hold up to 12,500 people, the Arantxa Sánchez Vicario Stadium can hold up to 3,000 spectators, and Stadium 3 can seat 2,500.
Inside this magnificent arena the top players battle for the ATP 1000 trophy, held at the moment by Alexander Zverev.
We can take you to Madrid to watch this tennis tournament and see the sights of this beautiful city! There is much to see and do in Madrid.
